The Found Object
All of the objects I found for this task belonged to my flatmate and consisted of cleaning related products including dishwasher tablets, toilet cleaner and washing machine capsules. I also included a broom which I found behind my flatmates cupboard which is the main focus of this image.
The Juxtaposition
I started the task by grouping together all of the cleaning products in the way that would create a sense of movement, as if being pushed by the broom which I later added to the shot. This created an odd, unlikely scene in which the cleaning products themselves were being cleaned by the broom. I like this because it reinforces the idea that everything we use needs to be tidied away in some instance at some point in time. For example, after using the broom to clear these various objects, the broom would also have to be tidied which creates a loop.
What I would have chosen to do differently if I was to create this image again would be the environment in which the picture was being taken. The picture was taken in a kitchen and I would have liked more of a juxtaposition of ideas by maybe setting the picture inside of an office, for example.
